6 Year Anniversary Celebration!

We are so excited that we get to celebrate our 6 Year Anniversary of doing business in West Sacramento! It has been over a year since we moved into our 4800 sq. ft. warehouse and showroom on Evergreen Ave. and we have really come a long way. In the last year we've added 2 embroidery machines, 1 additional manual screen printing press, new computer and office printing equipment and our latest and most impressive addition is our Javelin series Automatic Printing Press. We continue to add new equipment and software to better serve your needs and deliver superior quality products.

We will be celebrating this milestone with a community celebration on Friday June 6th from 4:30-7pm in our parking lot outside the showroom at 2523 Evergreen Ave, West Sacramento CA 95691. There will be music, food trucks, free snacks and drinks, Jamba Juice on site with drink specials, a fund raising raffle to benefit the American Cancer Society, vendors, a classic car show and free SWAG! Please come celebrate with us.

We will also be presenting our first annual Community Leader Award to Todd Lindeman. Todd is the principle of Thomas Edison Language Institute in the Arden area of Sacramento. He has worked tirelessly for years to lead his school to some of the highest attendance and test scores in the entire district! Todd has increased school spirit and participation in school clubs and teams during his tenure as well. We are very honored to have him and his school as a client and proud to be able to present this award to him.

Graphic Design for Screen Printing

We are in the business of printing quality products with your custom logo, design, or name and number for sports uniforms. Whether it be T shirts, sweatshirts, work polos that you're looking to customize, you need to begin with your artwork.

There are many programs with which to create your logo or design. The most popular program we see being utilized is Adobe Photoshop. This program is easy to use and offers many features that can give you a great custom look. However, Photoshop is a program that produces Rastor images. These are pixel based designs that do not offer clean edges and can be difficult to work with for screen printing. Without getting into too much detail you should know that while these files can look amazing, they likely will need work done to transfer into an image that can be screen printed.

The ideal file type is called a Vector image. These are point based designs that used anchor points to connect straight lines. It takes more effort and a broader learning curve to become well versed at vector illustration but the results can be even more impressive than a Rastor image in the hands of an expert. Vector images can be directly converted into a screen printed shirt for you to wear or hand out to your employees or clients. Adobe Illustrator and CorelDraw are the front runners in Vector programs but they can be quite expensive. There are free alternatives out there that offer basic tools that could possibly suit your needs as well (Inkscape for example).

There is some great information regarding the uses of Rastor and Vector images from CreativeBloq.com. This link will lead you to a great article on this topic and offers more great information on graphic design.

Please feel free to email or call us with artwork questions. We always offer 30 minutes of free design help with a qualifying order.  Information is available on our webpage as well.
